"The promise that Jesus was to reign on the throne of his father David has not yet been fulfilled proving that the promises applied to the child and not to the manner of its conception." - The manner of conception signified why he would be who he is to be - the King of Israel.

The manner of Jesus' conception has absolutely nothing to do with his right to be designated the 'King of Israel'. He was called the King of Israel by the disciples while, at the same time, they believed he was the son of Joseph.
